Ubeshwar Ji (Ambeshwar Ji) Temple is an ancient and sacred Shiva temple which is situated on the outskirts of Udaipur, surrounded by
the natural beauty of Aravalli hills.
Locals, especially farmers, believe that the temple is several centuries old and thus its importance is mighty
as they pray to Lord Shiva for good rains, security, and prosperity.
Historically, Ubeshwarji was an important Shaivite center and is considered architecturally similar to the Eklingji Temple, the principal shrine of Mewar.
The temple reflects early medieval temple architecture with finely carved stonework and a sacred Shiva lingam. Over centuries, it remained a place of worship
for saints, pilgrims, and local communities
The temple is a cool place to hang out with a naturally tranquil atmosphere, ritualistic religious activities, and a strong bond with nature and
the rural community. Ubeshwar Ji has been a tourist and a devotional spot where people go for blessings, to experience a tranquil spiritual
atmosphere away from the city, and to observe the local religious customs that mirror the deep-seated faith of the Mewar province.
