Lake Pichhola
Lake pichola, a man-made fresh water lake known for its breathtaking view, which was formed by “banjara” a tribesman who transported grain during the reign of maharana lakha.
Later the city of udaipur was discovered by Maharana udai singh at the banks of the lake, as the serenity of the lake with the backdrop of green hills fascinated and impressed the king.
The lake consists of four islands, jagat niswas and jag mandir both having palaces loacted on them. The other islands are mohan mandir from where the king witnessed the annual ganguar festival and the arsi vilas, which was an ammunition depot.
